Surroundings<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_empty_space height=”40px”][vc_column_text]The Nuvolino farmhouse is located in the green hilly countryside, ideal for walking and cycling.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]Easily accessible are the small villages:<\/p>\n

  • Castellaro Lagusello<\/strong> recognized as “one of the most beautiful villages in Italy<\/strong>” in 2002, as “orange flags<\/strong>” in 2008 and 2011 as a UNESCO heritage site for the discovery of pile-dwelling sites. Characteristic is the heart-shaped lake and the nature reserve.<\/li>\n
  • Borghetto sul Mincio<\/strong> located on the banks of the Mincio which, with its water mills and small streets, seems to be in a fairy tale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Nearby are the places that were the protagonists of the Second War of Independence:<\/p>\n

    • Solferino<\/strong> which has become the “orange flag<\/strong>” where it is possible to visit the Museum of the Risorgimento, the Ossuary, the Rocca and the Red Cross Memorial.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • San Martino of the battle<\/strong> with the Tower <\/strong>which rises within a large park. Going up the flight of spiral stairs you get to the top, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Garda and the morainic hills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Other historical sites to visit are Cavriana<\/strong> with the Archaeological Museum of Upper Mantua, and Volta Mantua<\/strong> where the summer residence of the Gonzagas, famous for its Italian gardens, resides.<\/p>\n

      Boat excursions on Lake Garda and on the Mincio river, among the lotus flowers in the splendid scenery of Grazie di Curtatone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      The Malcesine cable car<\/strong> to reach Monte Baldo, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view overlooking Lake Garda.<\/p>\n

      Mantua<\/strong>, land of the Gonzaga family known for the Palazzo Ducale and the Camera degli Sposi, and Palazzo Te with the Sala dei Giganti.<\/strong><\/p>\n
